First, assess your loved one's needs. What activities do they have the most difficulty with? What help is most needed and where can a caregiver assist the most? These answers are crucial to providing customized high-quality care. Relay this information to our office staff during your initial consultation.
If they are of strong mind and cognitively able to convey their situation, schedule an In-Home Assessment with our office staff. We will meet with them at no cost and develop a personalized care plan that will suit their needs. We are happy to loop in concerned families involved in their health care plan via zoom, phone, or email. Our secure software enables the family to remotely review and alter their schedule, specific tasks, and activities caregivers should focus on while watching their loved one's progress from anywhere in the world.
During our initial In-Home Assessment, we walk through a comprehensive 110 point home safety checklist, identifying potentially dangerous environmental factors that contribute to hospital re-admission or physical impairment. We work with family, external vendors, and our clients to make the home surroundings as safe as possible, while still maintaining the dignity and comfort of living at home.
Absolutely. We are required by the California Department of Social Services, Internet Privacy Law, and U.S. Federal Law to maintain the highest level of HIPAA Protection for our clients. Our software is the only technology to receive HITRUST CSF certification, which is an independent third-party verification of HIPAA compliance based on compliance of 300 controls in 19 different areas (i.e. password management, access control, and information protection).
Our fee structure is directly determined by two factors, the level of care required and total weekly hours of caregiving services. We use a three-tier system to structure our care, with Level I Companionship requiring the least amount of physical assistance to Level III Advanced Care providing full physical assistance to clients completely dependent on caregiving services. During the In-Home Assessment, our experienced care professionals will review their recommendations directly with the client, and any family wishing to be involved.
Yes! Our company is insured and requires all employees to go through an exhaustive vetting process. Each caregiver is processed through Guardian, California Dept. of Social Services' new platform that checks against FBI, DOJ, and CA databases for criminal history. We also receive immediate notice of any new activity for each employee. We hire the best caregivers in the workforce, often boasting decades of experience, with specialties in dementia care, hospice, and incontinence care. Our employees are all CPR/First Aid certified, and registered in the CA Home Care Aide Registry.
We've partnered with CareAcademy, a cutting-edge CE provider, that provides both initial and annual training for our caregivers. Notable companies that also use CareAcademy are Kaiser Permanente and the AARP Foundation. Our employees are trained in COVID-19 Precautions, Safety and Fall Prevention, Working with an Aging Population, and Infection Control alongside state-mandated courses such as Sexual Harassment and Emergency Preparedness.
As soon as possible! Often our clients reach out to us shortly before they are discharged from a facility, and we strive to schedule our In-Home Assessment when they arrive at home. Caregiving services quickly follow, to provide a streamlined and uninterrupted care schedule.
Our services are available 24/7, 168 hours a week. A full-time client maximizes the benefit of around-the-clock caregiving, with our staff ready to assist clients even during their resting hours. We've found many loved one's wake on their own schedule to use the restroom, and our caregivers monitor ambulation and assist them back into bed at all hours. With office personnel reachable outside of business hours, we are able to respond to change of conditions immediately and plan for an adjusted schedule.
Our accounting team handles all billing and invoicing, and after the In-Home Assessment, we will set up payment processing directly with our client or the Financial Wealth Managers. Caregiving compensation follows strict law in California, and our team ensures compliant payroll. Our caregivers do not accept tips and are paid high above market value to encourage blue ribbon excellence with our clients.
